The idea of having a Boys & Girls Club in Woonsocket was conceived by current CEO, Daniel Grabowski in 2002. He was the director of another club before coming to Woonsocket. Dan saw the need of Woonsocket's youth and adressed it by starting a club here in the city. We initially started out as two separate clubs. We had a teen center in one location at the old George St. School and a pre-teen center in the Morin Heights Community Recreation Center. We purchased Kendrick Ave. School and renovated it. In March of 2005, we moved into the building. Now the teen and pre-teen programs are located in the same facility. Here we are five years later still inspiring and serving the youth of Woonsocket.
